Silhouetted Shadows

Shadows dance in all weather if you dare.

Immersed deep in thought as winter

rears it’s cold breath, I stand perplexed

by the shadows cast about me.

Small protrusions of stone jut out from the

snow covered earth and cast shadows large

on the landscape. Their slippery slopes are

hidden beneath the snow just waiting for the

careless and nonchalant to fall. Even the trees

dressed in the fullness of the moon cast spindle

like shadows that dance gracefully with each

stroke of the wind. The air is balmy tonight

as the moon full in its glory is chased by a thousand

stars. I sit by the fire and listen to the gentle hiss

of melting snow and heated rocks as I sip a glass of

wine. Out in the snow I have written your name in

candles. The flames gather for your coming as I notice

your shadow leaning against the door. You let the cat

out and it quickly comes to my side to purr and rub

itself like cats only do. I stroke her head as I watch you

glide down the steps and on the stone walkway. You watch

your name in lights as you notice the glass I poured for you

sitting on the log. I see you silhouetted against the snow

with just a sweatshirt and sweat pants on. You look so divine

as the cold penetrates your shirt and arousals your breasts.

You know I am looking as you pull your shirt tight for the tease.

I watch you sip your glass. Your eyes fully locked into mine, as

the fire sparkles on your face. I tell you how beautiful you are

and how happy I am for you. The snow around the candles is

melting as if all worldly problems are being swallowed up in the

earth herself. I sit close beside you and run my hand along your

inner thigh. You are warm even though I can see your breathe.

I try and not to let you see how anxious I am to have you in my arms,

in my bed, and in my life forever. I see your cheeks slightly red, warm

to my touch as I taste your frosted lips. Your tongue gently caresses the

inside of my mouth as our frosty breathe mingles together in a spiraled

dance amongst the flames. I feel your breasts against me as you touch

my hard stomach with your cold hands. My muscles taunt to your touch

as your eyes seduce me and break me down. My breath glistens on your

neck while I run my fingers through your hair. I feel our heartbeats

merge into one as the flames get hotter between our bodies. You feel me

hard against you as you remove my shirt. Somehow I am not cold, but am

equal to the heat of the growing fire. You don’t wait to remove yours as

your body gulps in the cold of the air and the heat of the fire. You give me

that wink as you take off your sweats. I am surely a blessed man as I remove

my own. Standing naked on a snowy night outside, the fire is blazing and the

warmth of it makes dry our ground. The blanket I had in the chair I lay down

at your feet. A gentle wisp of a breeze floats with our love making making the

candles dance while the fire watches over us. It is as if the flames are clapping

their approval at our love in our natural world. I feel your body tense as your

release is echoed through our trees. I watch your shadow as you sit on me

and rub the muscles  of my chest. Silhouetted shadows dancing in the night

with rhythmic flames melting your name forever into my heart.
