We’re burning up
Like solar, summer flares.
Entwined.
Traces, and sizzling sheets,
And heated syncopation.
The quickening of a fleeting fire.
Extinguished licks drawn boreal.
When limbs satiate, and cool,
And fall back into blue moonlight.
We lie, distant, exposed,
And icebound.
It's freezing in here.
