How refreshing the feel
To walk
To run
To kneel…
Would you walk with me?
Just to see and feel the silence and peace
As we journey along this path
To eternity?
Walk down the sandy shore
Where seashells are left in rippled sand
And wind and sea merge in their own song
And the caps of white seem to wave to forevermore…
Walk the leaf strewn trail
Beneath the redwoods mighty outstretched limbs
And alongside the blooming poppies and roses
And the resting doe and her ever flicking white tail…
Walk the places un-trod by man’s foot
Where no man has journeyed
And the grass trod upon is as green
As the shining blades at the willow’s reaching root…
Would you run with me?
Just to know the power in the still air,
Racing to a future filled with grace,
To eternity?
Run into the gales forceful winds
Push the cooling rains with your flushing skin
As it fills your soul with refreshing wet,
Arms spread wide as the saplings bend…
Run down the hills into valleys dark and deep
Then up again into the burning heights
Still up around boulders and pines evergreen
To where the snow always lingers; the mountain always keeps…
Run through mounds, big and small
Of golden brown, soft oranges and dry grey
Burst them open and spread them around
Letting them fly again only to drop to the grounds of Fall…
Would you kneel with me?
In reverence for the gift of love,
Given in pain and forgiveness,
For all eternity?
Kneel with me, as we seek the peace.
Kneel with me in moments of memories,
And know the refreshing touch within
That sets the heart and soul at ease.
Kneel anytime, anywhere,
When your walk has stopped,
And your run is stilled,
Kneel in body or spirit in peaceful prayer.
Kneel and thank our Lord and Savior
For the power of His love and grace
Kneel and be humbled by His gifts…
Kneel and be blessed in His glory, forevermore.
