Listen to the Feel This dish of blackberries is like my life—— The bowl too full for the cream That makes them worth the plucking. I’m tired of picking, but my bucket isn’t full. I can’t stop; The bushes always have more big juicy ones That look so tasty I pop them in my mouth. But I’ve lost my hunger, And they make my stomach sour. Why? I picked ones that LOOKED ready, Instead of listening with my fingers.
