Cloudless sky, ahhh must be heaven above
Golfers on courses, wearing one glove
Spikes on their soles, and on their heels
Out for three hours before sumptuous meals

Hitting a ball, so hard or so soft
Frowning and swearing when one has just coughed
I gave it up more than five years ago
Eyesight was fading: I was moving too slow

Now I shuttle a badminton feather
An indoor game, no matter the weather
And I play with my wife and some others as old
And sometimes against teams known to our fold

Changing my hobbies is one of my things
I now play a clarinet, no need to tune strings
So if you find life is getting you down
