PRESIDENT ELECT
So America has voted, the result very clear
Obama’s the Victor, all the world can hear
A points win oh yes, convincing and true
A new era dawns, we feel it here too
Obama the man neither black nor all white
Got them staying up nearly all night
Seismic, historic words can hardly describe
The path to the White House and soon be Inside
The Hope that he brings is felt near and far
A whisper which might end the sad Iraq war
A confidence bringing Wall Street back on line
Peace at home and abroad, yes Peace in our time!
I pray for his journey in the years yet to come
May his critics be limited with no resource to a gun.
America’s dream is awakened once more
A dream that we welcome on every shore
A better world seems within a new view
Obama be blessed by the Reds and the Blues
I sense that this result makes Humanity the winner
With love for the poor; disrespect for the sinner.
America be proud of this man you have voted
A man of his age and on him, they doted
The world this morning seems a safer place
Obama let God lead you on, by His Grace.
