Homeless
I was born to parents with a home, now I add the word less to it. How did I get here?
I went to school, followed my heart and fought for the country I believe in, and the God I love and trust.
So why am I homeless?
I have a purple heart, and saw my friends die in a war that was truly not necessary.
HOMELESS
People pass me up in the streets while I’m in a wheel chair asking for help.
HOMELESS
Never know where the next meal comes from
Never know what happened to the hero that came home from the war and the children he helped to raise.
HOMELESS
God I do trust in you, so I ask please take me to your home and the word less will never be again.
HOMELESS
No one knows I’m here, so take me home God and my pain will go away since you have loved me when I had a home, and love me even more when I’m homeless.
