They killed my dad when I was ten I carried a gun than became a part of them Sing the song the jail bird wants to sing About Freedom Not for me anymore. I had a son at 15 And he visits me at the pen He is now ten and I tell him to say away from the gangs and sing the song that this jail bird wants to hear The song of his freedom Not for me anymore. I live in the cell of cement where the gangs are No longer friends And the song I want to sing is about my Freedom Not for me anymore. Keep away from gangs since the pen is know place to call home The jail birds song is never heard. Freedom Not for me, but for you Stay alive and stay away from GANGS
As I stated, I'm not in a gang, and I work with youth that are and I'm trying to help them stay alive and sing there known song of freedom. So my friends on Authors Den, help out and let the youth here your song of freedom, they are hearing mine every day.
