Will you be remembered for the good you do?

who will know you've been here
if you only live for self
life is just to short
how much do you have left?
it's the way you use your days
that will make a difference when your gone
will you be remembered
remembered for how long?
are you making foot prints
leading others along the way
helping them when they stumble
holding hands when you pray
are you making foot prints
so some day someone will say
yes, I saw his foot prints
he's been along this way
if you drew your last breath
and this was your last day
is there someone who could stand
in your behalf and say
he lived his life for others
you know the proof is in the sand
his prints are far and wide and deep
you can find them all over this land
