Harold wrote this poem in hopes it will let those on the out side, know what its like to be in prison. He's paying the price, freedom no longer exists.
Behind these walls, I'm all alone
I've lost my friends, lost my home.
I have lived here for so long,
while I'm trapped, the world moves on
I'm trapped behind A chain link fence,
Thinking of places I have went
Places where I might go again,
places where I've never been
I'm trapped in my mind when I slumber
I'm not a name, just a number,
in a place where I have no control,
where all I have is, thoughts of my own
In this place where I am at,
people forget you, friends turn their back
It won't be forever, thats a fact,
But while I'm still here,I'm still trapped
One day I will leave this place,
And do what I want, man I can't wait,
For when I leave, I won't look back
I'll always remember, when I was TRAPPED
This does make one think of cells and bars and imprisonment--and is enough to make me never want to do anything to go there. Would be a great poem o share with young boys and men--excuse me, let's not forget girls, too.
Harold is trapped for now but in time things will change. I don't know why he is behind a link chain fence, it has to be a terrible feeling. I will pray for his freedom. Thank you for sharing.
I'd have a problem in prison: I'm severely claustrophobic! (And next week I may have to be strapped down to a stretcher and put into an ambulance; taking part in a disaster drill; I've signed up to be one of the victims. NICE!) Well done; pray I get through the disaster drill!

A most confining, claustrophobic feel to this write; hope Harold gets released soon; he (and you) are in my prayers!
PI novel set in Manhattan during the 1980s when art galleries and model agencies were the two most glamorous businesses in the world. Dangerously well written.
