A young man we know died last week at age 23. He was a memeber of the Cherokee Nation. I just wrote this poem for his family .Its similar to another I wrote a while ago.

On the wings of eagles,
his spirit took flight,
as they flew him toward
everlasting light

The great spirit welcomed
him to his heavenly home,
never more to be alone

Home at last, free from
all cares, our beloved
angel warrior is welcomed there

He now resides in pastures
gold and green
Sits in peace near bubbling streams

He listens to the wind
and warriors cry,
sees angels and birds
soaring on high

No worries or problems
weight him down
Eternal peace and contentment
can be found

Do not weep for your loved one,
who has gone away.
His soul is with the great spirit,
forever to stay

He's in the breeze
which caresses your face,
he's in the suns glow or a
tender embrace

Remember James is there to
brighten your day
He did not die, He's Just Away
