We have a youth group at our church called "Clowns for Christ." These young people spread cheer and the word of God to many. Their director, who once was a clown, asked me to write a poem for them.

Ladies and gentlemen gather around. It's time for Clowns for Christ to come to town.

They'll do their best to make you laugh. They'll do their best to make you cry, while bringing a twinkle to your eye.

All are here to spread God's word to everyone who hasn't heard! They'll sing his praises, speak his truths, teach us life's lessens in spiritual ways as they bring joy and happiness to our day.

All have painted faces to chase away the blues, bright red noses that look so huge. They wear funny clothes, a colorful wig and some wear shoes that are much too big.

These special children have come to brighten our day while giving of themselves in many heart felt ways.

Thanks to all who really care! You're making a difference in this land we love, as God gently guides you from above.
