I finally was able to write another poem for Richard. He has been gone almost seven years now. I am ok and still have my memory!
Sadness sometimes fills my heart as vacant days drift by. Emptiness engages my thoughts while lonely nights wrap their dark cloak around me. Oh how I yearn to hear your voice and feel your strong arms holding me tight in passion's sweet embrace. It is naught to be! Days slide slowly by in sad reverie. You are no longer here and cannot breath the fragrances of flowers or experience life's events with us. Time drifts on as I still miss you with all my heart. Some day will be together again , for ever and ever!

You are not alone in these feelings. My hubby passed away 2 years ago, and I still miss hum dearly. I dream about him often, usually is when he has a message for me. It's okay to grieve in however long you need.
