In the square in front of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, floodlights cast the shadows of an acrobatic gaggle of skaters and a solitary guitarist. I was struck by the serenity in the midst of so much commotion. Our best instincts lead us there - if only we don't get in the way!
Cathedral Square In this place, this perfect moment Our best instincts are alchemy, Creating unspoken collaboration Out of clashing desires. Crowds swirl without menace. Spaces bump without collision. Skaters skitter around a guitar player, Their wild gyrations an obbligato To Bach's logical beauty, Bathed in brightness Beneath the benign towers.
