Life Without A Dream
I’m in a cell without a key doing life without a dream
Held here by memories, guilty of hurting me
Imprisoned by a vision of what might have been
Locked away in yesterday afraid to love again
Existing without living in a body without a soul
I spend my time wishing the memory would let go
How long will I have to stay, loving was my only sin
Such a price to pay just for loving him
Convicted on my own terms I’m afraid to be free
I have a lesson to learn can’t give my heart so easily
Bars of steel around my heart I won’t be hurt in here
No chance of parole so far I haven’t overcome my fears
Someone set me free,
please rescue me from me
I’m in a cell without a key,
doing life without a dream

Excellent!
Poetic fluency from emotions of a heart that pumps dreams.
"Life Without A Dream" was poetized with words from the lexicon
of an artist of the verb.
