Midnight Madness

by Lloydene F Hill — Read all 32 poems by Lloydene F Hill

Dedicated to my muse, my friend, and my soul sister, Janet Caldwell.

Monday, June 25, 2001

Poem Artwork

Where do I stand here in the dark, amidst this midnight madness.

Restlessness inspires me, should I, shouldn't I , where do I play, amidst this midnight madness.

Up and down, spinning wildly, in and out of despair I wander blindly, amidst this midnight madness.

Silence inspires me, deafening ears that cannot hear, amidst this midnight madness.

Keys that go click, click, click, writing, reading, writing, reading, amidst this midnight madness.

My labors of love for you I slew, and tamed the fierce dragon, it comes, it goes, it comes, it goes, amidst this midnight madness.

A soul crying, singing, meditating in "Midnight Madness" has placed a voice in the heart of eternity, and I heard the words of a beautiful and profound poem.

Never rest Your pen, Poet.

In admiration,

Oh Sweetie,
Thank you for the dedication. I understand about the dragon! I love your choice of words in this one especially "keys that go click, click, click!"

Those keys can open many doors ;) Excellent! JC
