To die to the flesh is what it is all about and what a challenge it is to us who have been given so much

 

Oh! the blue of the sky
and the green of the grass
comes  from the brush
of the Creator on high

He who was last
is the greatest of all
for he answered the call
of the Father of all

How can you doubt him
as you gaze at the sun
which gives life to each limb
Till the long day is done

The moon rises high
at the end of the day
And the stars twinkle bright
as they bid us good night

How can you say
there is no God this day
When you see the Lord Jesus
as he lay in the hay

He is the littlest
of all human flesh
Yet he has the spark
of a diamond within

He grew to manhood
and offered himself
and died on a cross
that sinners would live

Put yourself  on the shelf
your love so to give
that others would live
as you die to the flesh

You will rise again
He will forgive all your sins
as he forgave the thief
on the cross next to him

Greater love has no man than this
Eternal life is die to the flesh
