THE SMALLEST CHICKEN He was the smallest chicken in the hen house and he is singing the hen house blues Why was it so on this day in May? He had lost his best friend to the hatchet man as he lay So he went on his way just singing the blues The poor bird was sad but he was not mad For he knew it was the way of the world Some would be hurled into the great beyond and some would be left behind
