Thinking how our life, as humans, compares to the life of those in the animal kingdom

Poem Artwork

IT JUST AIN'T FAIR

God gave the turdle a hard shell
Under which his head he pulls
To other animals He gave hair
To protect them from the air
To the birds He gave wings
and feathers to protect
 from the weather

Big bird Ostrich burries her head
in the sand as tho dead
Dogs have a bark
Cats can meuow
And the mighty Lion roars
The snake can bite
Bees can sting
And the rabbit can hop

All these things
He gave the Animals
and much much more

But the poor human
must work for a living
Wear clothes
and cook
He can talk but
he must quard his tongue

His friend, as well as
his enemy, is man
And, yes, some animals
as well
He must live by his wits
And juggle all of this

It is quite a task
Death comes at last
Of this he fears
Because he knows
the conscequences of Hell

IT  JUST  AIN'T  FAIR

Lis Flower: Consider this. The birds have feathers but it doesn't protect them from shot guns. Animals have hair but often end up on a plate as somebodies dinner. That ostrich buries his head in the sand but this doesn't protect him and now he cannot see what goes on around him. Man must work, dress and sometimes one might think it is unfair but we have the Kingdom of Heaven ahead. Everything has it's blessings and it's problems.
Overcome and you will know God better.
God Bless,
Lew

I don't think any of us can recall anywhere saying...Life is fair?
One day it will all make sense and I putting my chew toy on Sherry here...We had our chance, now it's up to us to fix us and He will be watching...like we watch the animals...amused!
He loves us, just the same...
Love and Peace~

Maybe not, but as the appointed stewards of God's animal kingdom, I think we have failed miserably - our cruelty to them routinely outweighs our compassion and care, and most of them have a much tougher time trying to survive in our gluttonous modern world than we do.

But it is fair. What man suffers is a consequence of sin. The first humans sinned against a God who planted a beautiful garden for them. The rest did not repent, but sinned like them. It's what can be described as the original wound. Only One wamna was spared that sin. The rest can say mea cupla. Victor

beautiful...I'm not sure what animal I would be if I had to be one but I would hope it is one with claws.

I think we had a chance to be as free as the animals, but we wanted more and for all the wants that we now consider to be our needs, we have become slaves to our own desires. If we lived off of the land, just think of how much simpler things would be. Nice poetry, Marguerite Little Flower.
Take care,
Sherry

Other animals could be added--Go ahead, add some. Would you like to be incarnated as one of these? Oh No, not me. Maguerite
