On the last weeks has been posted a few poems and articles from authors that felt we not take them seriously.
Why? maybe because we are not kind enough to devote time to review the work of our friends.
Can we do better?

If I don't get reviews I think it was
because My poem is not up to par
Sure it hurts specially if you think you wrote a classic
It happens to me all the time

If I get 15 reviews I doing good, makes me want to think what happened to the other 485,000 readers

As long as you write, I will read and review. You said it perfectly: they are necessary to the survival of the poem (and our egos LOL). But even more importantly, Georg, is that they are being READ. :) Well done, my (((friend))).
This is a subject that can make or break the hearts of many poet and poetess writers here, though one must realize that each and everyone here has their own way of expressing poetry and it takes many hours just to write their thoughts, it is a coutesy to make a simple acknowledgement to one if you take time to read their work. I agree that at times and even some poems are hard to define and to review yet we all should learn and find a way to express our acknowledgement of each and every poet and poetess who strives and works with each thought placed for our enjoyment and for our learning....
I agree with the 3 reviews below this one...way too many good authors here to keep up with them all...perhaps our ego should not regulate our conscious...

Well stated. Some times I don't write a review because I don't relate to it or sometimes don't like the topic. Most things I read are good. Most write from their hearts. I do get lost in long stories and sometimes my heart doesn't feel the same way the author feels. I'd rather send some reviews directly then place something that might be miss understood in these boxes. Point has been thought about by many here this week, and our authors are doing better. Lady J
