A collaboration work with Holly W Hamilton which provided with the idea, the text and the illustration.
I just shuffled her words.
But, I couldn't help to add my twisted end.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (part one)

I’d never witnessed anything so vile,
grotesque, so utterly foul a murder,
which unexpectedly shock my world
with a sudden bloody carcass of a body
laying on the cobblestones, at my feet,
on a nightmare street, not my own.

Never thought that could happen to you,
to be at the mercy of an attacker wishing,
dreaming, telling what he was going to do,
when suddenly, from the deepest shadows,
beyond the nowhere a disembodied angel
appeared with a fury given only by God.

My rescuer captured the attacker and with
rage, savagely my enemy he tore to pieces
as in disbelief had my back pressing the wall
keeping me from falling as I was seeing
that he couldn’t be human but was making
my terror to disappear likes the morning fog.

When all was over he remained quiet,
thankfully his face was turned from mine,
a giant I took him to be standing in front,
dread, yet my body, mind, and soul wanted
to see his face, that of a man or monster
which no harm will do to me, the savior.

Then I heard kind of soothingly his voice,
telling me to be not afraid of him and,
that I should to this street never return,
I couldn’t see his face, but he wasn’t
on my memory someone unknown,
he had rescued me without saying a word.

Tugging at the fabric of his coat’s arm
I forced him with a tender tug to faced me
and I saw his face as he was turning around,
he was what unmerciful souls will call a Beast,
but his saddened eyes in his deformed face
told of a hiding beauty that needs no words.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (part two)

In hidden places, but not of fear, we meet,
dusty forgotten tunnels of lined gray stones,
which apparently, today, nobody knows,
the first, to him, with a tender gesture show,
he shared with me what he told no one,
about a satanic spell that had condemned him
to be the quasi monster in the mirrors, now.

He said that a Beast he was forever to remain,
that he needed to hide from man’s superstitions
in what was supposed to be an educated world,
his hurting solitude, captured all of my heart
and I knew then that I would find no peace
if I couldn’t be with him, hearing is voice.

That from his world he couldn’t offer anything,
but I did heard the beat of his strong heart
when he allowed me to get that close,
that he couldn’t possible offer me luxuries
giving me comfort or to be seen together,
I didn’t belong in is monster kind of world.

With a sudden realization I discovered that,
apart from him, will be like thrown in Hell,
and came to him at night to kiss and touch
his face despite he was pushing me away
yelling, “look at me, we can’t never be,
go away, find a man you can fell in love!”

Feeling dejected I went as he so wished,
but I couldn’t stay away, needed to go back
where he dwelled, deep on the underground,
hiding, wanting not to be seen by any man,
but perhaps in his heart wishing for me to
come and say, “nothing matters, only us.”

Soon, I returned to the dark labyrinth where
he would be reading his father’s poetry in a
shadowed chamber that he called his home,
racing to him, fell at his feet crying and said,
“my world is nothing without you, let me stay”
he took me into his arms like a lover would.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (part three)

“You are so beautiful” he said, “I am not,
look at me, I am not a Man, how can a face
so ugly don’t provoke a horror when you look?”
Looking back into his eyes it was beyond me
how he couldn’t understand my mindset,
for me, we were lovers, for him, we were not.

As he turned and dimmed the oil lamp light
to make certain I couldn’t see his ugly face…
from my shoulders my garment fell on the floor
I stood there trembling, waiting, and wondering
what he would be thinking of my naked body,
as a virginal offer, to calm the fury of the gods.

He turned back and saw me standing there,
his eyes covered my body with a silky look,
silence, only disturbed by the burning oil
as he moved to scoop me up into his arms
where I felt the embrace of thousand fires
not felt before going so deep, into my bones.

Without reservation, inhibitions, with passion,
we fell together in his bed, like autumn’s leaves
carried by the wind and making undying love,
he entered my body, and I was melting into his,
suddenly, opening my eyes to see if I was giving
pleasure, I saw that the evil spell had broken off.

Holly’s end:

I watched as his face had transformed
into that of a most beautiful man
which I couldn’t but look in awe,
thinking if it was true that old say
of “living happy forever after,”
I will make it certain, with all my love.

Georg’s end:

I watched as is face had transformed
into that of a most beautiful man
which I couldn’t but look in awe,
as a mirror said that the spell was on me,
I was wearing now, his old monster face,
“forever after” will be from now his love?

I've always liked the epic bittersweet story of The Beauty and the Beast, and you two have done a marvelous poetic rendition. I also like both of your endings, but I can't decide which one I like better.

My dear friend, what a pleasure it was to work with you on this compelling poem. My whole life has been one gigantic hurdle after another. Thankfully I was given the gift to sing and write and hence poured myself into this as it is healing to my weary bones.
Fiction is my favorite, for in writing fiction I can control the ending. Oh how I do love a happy ending! From your hopeless romantic friend and poet, Holly
