Sometimes they are not guilty, because their baggage of arrogance and sense of superiority is taken as a true copy of what they see at home, where values sometime are weighed in dollars and cents, how much you have...and if you have none.
Love transcend a few times, very few, because always will be there "we" and "how dare them" which not even a strong love can resist on the long run.

Poem Artwork

She heard his happy laugh like a bell
singing in the morning with happiness
and her heart fluttered, skipped a beat,
and suddenly she felt an adventuress
ready to conquest the whole words,
flying on a magic dream, being ageless,
not feeling to be “that” young, but feel
that being in such much love is timeless.

She can’t understand a world order that
separate rich from the pauper penniless,
love should be about matters of the heart
not if she was a pretty eligible heiress,
not a glance her way over a social barrier
or a word in passing said with bitterness,
love should be looking in a clean mirror
that gives a true reflection both ways.

Rich boy, Daddy and Mommy teach you
how to go with that air of total aloofness,
but she want to wake up him and look,
she is here! don’t be so dork and clueless,
love is knocking at your door, so please,
just for once show that you aren’t heartless
with a little smile and perhaps a little wink
she’s asking not for more to make her day.

He will flirt as he goes by the favorite table
of the up with little noses limousine’s girls,
and exclusive gang of wannabe cheerleaders
that don’t mix willingly with all the rest;
but he won’t flirt with lesser girls like her,
he will go unnoticing with faked iciness
like “I am who I am, the world is mine,
move out my path you all worthless.”

She heard his laughter like happy bells
singing in the morning, Oh! if it were for her,
and dreaming of it she felt a blush from love,
skipping a beat, the heart of a penniless girl.

Well penned Georg, especially showing the absurdity of how money seems to be the new ruler of the times. We all need to get back to the basics of life and not worry so much about who has what....

Be safe,
Karen

Unrequited love - if it were for her. She'd be unable to walk on the ground - she'd be floating.

It is truely sad when the rich think they need to marry rich,, it happens all the time with royalty on down,,To cheat the heart of true love and what this world should really be about,, not the money I make but the heart I give. Georg you are an amazing writer, I think you will go down in history.

She heard his laughter like happy bells
singing in the morning,

And she liked what she heard, and they soon fell in love, and they married. Only then did they realize that they were both penniless, but they then realized that laughter and love were truly enough, and, they are still together, and still very happy! Love can transcend, if only we allow it to.
