Our innocence died long ago, yet, our heart seems not to have grasped the reality...
Imagine, soft fingers on your face
telling you about, as couldn’t the lips,
of tender feelings, of sensuous yearn
for that warmth of warmest, that kiss.
Imagine, tearful eyes on your face
shining, the same happiness you see
in an innocent child reaching for
the moon, exited and breathlessly.
Imagine, no shadows on your face
because rejections couldn’t have been
the ones entering the secret garden
where love was where all begins.
Imagine, no wrinkles on your face
caused by too many departures in
a string of never ending goodbyes,
just reach, love will always be here.
Imagine, pure love on your face,
with no lies, double talk or treachery,
that you wish to believe it’s true , a
love so unadulterated and so genuine.
Imagine, you giving all of yourself,
diving in that burning lava and be
forever pure, an eternally loved you,
the one that despair put down, imagine.
Imagination has a way of turning into realism!
