A few here in AD have send a few AD general message questioning and some e-mails to me asking why so low rate of reviews?
Well, all I can said at the time was to no post so many works because there will be too many to really read, assimilate and properly review it.
A work every two or three days will give time to be rewarded with a review.
Then, there are those that do just that and despite been tracked are totally ignored.
My suggestion are to delete the authors names from the Trackers list, so the authors will know who is reading and who doesn't.
To those that have wrote to me and in AD I will say that there doesn't find any excuse to make them to believe that they are tracked when they are not.

well, I got only 5 reviews of a short story
that up to now has a hit count of 4.134.

but I am very glad that some took the time

Most reviewer read and critic other's work and in turn they wish their posting read as well, I try to review as much as possible,
been writing less cause of travels and situations at home
When I have the time I read and try to review as much as I can
here I sit writing with other things in my mind I think need my attention more......... I write for the love ot it

It would be trying for me to review someone who never reviews back, and to not review the poets who review me
there are many diveristies of personality to this I have learned
some trackers don't post in public, but send PM
some want visits & review-but don't review & when you untrack them they ask why -lol
some just are readers & may or may not reply
some just decide to untrack when they post a gazillion & then don't give time to visit...aurgh...so untrack them too...well thats what I do
then there is the trackers you don't want to track you...pfft!!
I am still learning things here though too & my mail is still a catastophe.....sigh.....

I can't help but feel a lot of the members feel if they aren't getting reviews, then no one is reading their work and we all want to post in hopes that others are reading what we have to offer, if they don't choose to leave a review that is fine, maybe they can leave their name just to show they have read you. Thank you Georg.
I stopped trying to figure that one out George, I have a few faithfuls who read my work and I always look forward to their wise words and kind comments, if I get more that is a bonus...less well Ci la vie...

I hope you're having a grand day! I've learned from operating my own website for almost ten years that the majority of poets are not comfortable with commenting on the works of their peers. My internal tracking system shows that the poems are being read and I'm sure most of them are appreciated and enjoyed even if no comment is made. People write for different reasons. We all love compliments if they're sincere but they loose their value when they become a "should" or a "have to". The world is a challenging place nowadays and everyone is busy at trying to live as best they can. I write for self-expression. If someone chooses to comment on something I write, great, if nobody does it doesn't matter. I hope this all makes sense. Write from your heart and write for you. I wish you a God blessed day and I wish you continued inspiration. You have a strong poetic voice that I appreciate and enjoy.

YOu know Georg - I have over 80 Trackers and maybe 12 reveiws on most poems! some only 4 and months can go by, no worries! becuz I write for me and I look at this way, WHEN the time comes (they open and read) there was a reason! that they gravitated to it, their heart was reaching... and then I am pleased! I won't write it all in a book and store it away - I want it online, where it can be noticed, read and sometimes commented too! Some read and not comment and I'm use to it.

OH, and then there is the "ME" readers, and commentors, when time allows, I will sit with the friend (in my sites) and read their delights and comment on each, but this one after another as time exists. I get an eyeful, heartful all at once, ONE BIG DOSE of a reader at a time! That is after I read their Bio -

Lets all be totally honest, do we put poems on AD JUST to get reviews, or do we do so just to get our works etc to be seen...I mean if reviews are that important maybe we should re-think our life directions...personally I take what I can get and am happy and thankful for them...(oh and as for that Kostro guy, us spies are amassing large amounts of info on him & his feelings regards this presidency and government, LOL) "the spy in from the cold"

The summer has always been a time of fewer reviews, many on vacation, and many with much to do.
But I wouldn't worry about Trackers, Brother. I think people read and review what they want to, regardless of tracking status. I joined A.D. way back in 2003, and I have several 'trackers' dating back that far - who have never reviewed anything that I have posted - I think they're government spies!
Let me be clear here, i don't write for reviews, but I am concerned by a few that have expressed to me under four eyes that what's was the worth of writing if nobody read and wanted to call quits.
I have tried to discourage such thoughts giving my honest opinion how to proceede. Some times you win...most of the time you lose.
You bring up a subject of which no one can answer George....the reality is that with so many of us here and so many more on other sites it is a wonder we get the reviews we have....though one must look at the overall picture of poetry....better to know your own work and be glad to have the place to express and display each and every poem, and or article, story that comes to mind...
I can appreciate each and every review sent my way for it is the result of those few that makes one realize...someone does care enough to read and leave even a small comment on each work...
Your work and talent are appreciated my friend even if I myself don't leave you a review on everyone I have read...

I am not going to worry about it anymore: as long as I get read, that should be the thing that matters. But it would be nice to get a comment regarding your works. Still, all in all, a good write, and as long as you write, I will read/review you! NO question about it!! You're one of my very favorites here! Very well penned; bravo!

Reviews are so nice but if we are writing for reviews we will be sadly disappointed. I think many readers are from outside AD. You are a writer worth reading Georg.
