Poem Artwork

I knew you were in this universe
untouchable like a far away star,
to me you never ceased to blink
with that subtle and delicate light
to tell me you were always there
tiptoeing thru my dreams at night,
wasn’t alone even in your absence,
never for a moment, not even once.

Imagine if I could for a second
hold for a little while your hand,
with my lips feel its soft warmth
and their perfume with my heart…
Imagine if distances were small
as we compare them with the sky
that seem to go forever, so infinite
compared with all our little miles.

And yet, your absence seems longer,
empty unending years not just hours,
and the world around me get blurred
because tears are coming to my eyes,
me, that cannot remember your voice
because we had never meet, and life
perhaps is trying to teach each of us
to wait, my love I have so many whys?

Why you entered my existence so late
walking on in my empty world of sands
when you could have opted for a garden
without scorpions but full of butterflies,
with no a thorn there to give you any pain
but you came to my shadows, straight,
calling my name in all your dreams
as I was calling yours in all of mine.

You will return, I know, with one more
sorrow to deal, not yours…thank God,
but why should you bear another’s cross
when one of your own to bear you have,
there, there, I feel suddenly that you are
inside, I imagine, between my two arms
asking me not to let you go, not ever,
and it my love, is all what my heart wants.

You write so poetically and lovingly... And though your grammar and spelling may stink (I know something about that), your ideas and writes are liquid balm for this poetry-craving soul. --Charlie

Ah Georg, you rascal, you :-)

Does "...because we had never meet..." indicate an Internet love? That is exactly how I met Patty, and time did bring us together. Love is the mightiest of magnets, my friend, and togetherness is always its goal. Viva tu amor :-)
