Absence make him blind because he couldn't se and despair became the wheelchair which she tried to push from far away, not only in miles but in time and hopes and understanding that the only meeting place of contentment will be on that uncertain of existing, beyond.

She was here, that perfume I know,
impossible to forget even if you try
like the echoes of her sweet voice
calling your name when in fright,
and you would run to protect her
making a arms nest with her inside,
yes I remember that ethereal perfume
she tattooed it with her skin in mine,
oh my friend! That feminine warmth
making mornings to wake worthwhile.

She was here, an scent of happy air
fills the rooms with yesterdays designs
which never really they went away
hovering over me like my private sky;
reverberating in the memory the steps
that broke the silence with each arrive
as I waited all day among the flowers
so at sundown she could take me inside
pushing her lover to the safety of a "home"
that he couldn't see, absence had made him blind

Perhaps I am going crazy, who knows?
my world, after her, turned to be black,
love come in so many happy shades
but it couldn’t go forever I understand
that life demands more mundane things,
it’s not easy to be in love with someone
that can’t see if you are there, and she went,
long ago, don’t even she said goodbye,
tired perhaps of pushing a wheel chair,
but she is here, I know, even if I am blind.

Lovely write Georg. I know from experience that even though a person is gone whether through death or other circumstances their presence can sometimes fill a room and then disappear.

Comment: Oh yes, I can see the black here...but, still, it is surrounded by the white...which results in the black becoming gray...charcoal, perhaps, right now...but slowly lightening...

She is here - I'd say quite deep thoughts, Colonel, not stray,
And our very deepest thoughts and memories are the ones that stay.

So beautiful, so sad, so lovely. Love and rememberance go hand in hand and the eyes seem to have nothing to do with it. She will always be there. Great write, Love, Bonnie

My favorite lines:

"...impossible to forget even if you try
like the echoes of her sweet voice
calling your name when in fright,
and you would run to protect her
making an arm's nest with she [her] inside ...."

No wonder you have a hard time forgetting. Such beautiful lines of memory's perfume ... well done, Georg.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
