When the prisoner of sadness becomes the prisoner of pain....when the utterly hopelessness strangles any wish to continue...when everything is lost inside there will be no words of comfort...but one can try to say something, one last time, can we?
She aimlessly wanders in shadowy churchyards
among frosted angels in flight and headstones,
on a landscape filled with most utterly silences
because six foots under are only life in the worms,
and the people there, protesting they didn’t could,
after the Reaper swiftly came and cut they lives short,
and the diggers shovels muffled their mouth with dirt
putting and end to their be on this miserable world.
In the mist, the night wanted you to fear when as
in the witches hours you fearlessly will take a walk
among stones heads with blurred names by time
reminding that one is missing in one of the rows,
I wonder if she his looking after for a place of hers
or if is of a dear somebody else, she’s afraid to know,
it brought tears to my eyes to see her gossamer self
as a most delicate and ethereal angel going around.
Then, I hear it, inside my head and inside my heart,
the piercing scream of pain coming from her soul,
and my lips ached to cover hers with a kiss of silence
knowing that my heart will grab her pain as ours,
I was there and yet I only could see night after night,
me, so being made of wood, a centuries old oak
with long and strong arms that can wrap her inside
to share and mitigate…but how can you hug a cloud?
When you one night, passing by that church yard,
see her transparent image like mist do not stop,
because I am that mean oak tree and she is mine
alive and searching by going around all the stones
trying to find only she knows, but I am always there,
to lead off her a lightning send from any fiery storm,
she can believe it, my little and tender Prisoner of Pain,
no one will ever love her so much…after I am gone.
She wanders on a cold churchyard, a gossamer soul
protected by a distorted of age a mean old oak.
wow...I am so moved by the interpretations I take with this poem Georg, the fog seen in lifes vapors of emotion speaking through you
this is very lovely in the emotions expressed...an eternality of many things reaching....I myself love graveyards & when you speak about looking...well I wondered many times what am I looking for...so you see I relate to this more than you know...or knew :)

Georg, I see this poem as a ray of light. Even a mean old oak tree can be tender and human inside. The woman who had pain during her life, takes this pain with her in her death. How sad but yet a tender write of compassion.

feel the pain.
However I appreciated the interweaving of love, death and pain
to present this poetics.
"a gossamer soul"
An apt description of a weakened life
or perhaps of one taken before their time
and already dead. I interpret the latter.
You have created a moving empathic revelation
of a restless and tormented spirit.

WOW - AM I GLAD THAT THROUGH THE DARK, HIS LIGHT (THAT 'OLD' OAK) SHINES SO BRIGHTLY. GEORGE, YOUR GIFT IS SO WELL EXPRESSED IN MORBIDITY AND I FIND THAT YOUR EXPRESSIONS ARE REALLY SO NECESSARY FOR IT IS THROUGH ONES OBSERVANCE OF THE VIVIDNESS OF GLOOM THAT THEY COME TO APPRECIATE 'LIGHT' WITH ECSTATIC DELIGHT AND GRATEFULNESS. WELL WRITTEN WITH THE PHRASES AND IMAGERY THAT 'CHILLS'. BLESSINGS.

Those of us who live in constaint pain understand what you write of, Georg. But we are adults, and can adjust; a child can only cry and wonder...why. And be grateful for the "mean old oak". Beautifully descriptive, my friend.

It takes a big compassionate soul that might look like an oak to share and harbour the pain, the pain looking for love, too late to be given by those whose lips are now sealed by the passing of time, a good reminder to all, to share that love now.
A gripping tale that squeezes the heart. A hug! Jasmin Horst
Incredible how pain can wipe out the very desire to be an existence within a world...your poem expresses that intolerable view of pain....nice work Georg...
I know this feeling of being crushed,it can take away all desire to do anything,I am also a prisoner of pain, but I've learned to overcome it!This is a deep reaching poem Georg, and I hope whomever it was meant for can be reached, with your heart of compassion!Splendid write!

Yes one can, and you say it very well, from your heart. Another powerfully sad piece, brother.
