You are sad, you close your eyes trying to block away images and sounds and then...then you hear the whisper, that soothingly warm breeze in your hear that chases the cold away and enters your heart.
In that velvet silence you understand what love means to everyone...but you.

Poem Artwork

The whispering voice dripped on the silence
that wrapped my soul from rejection’s cold
telling me with sounds so low and inaudible
that almost, I did not hear my lover’s words,
but felt butterfly’s touch on my face, her lips
were warm with intimacy and promising love.

Winters that have been chasing young Springs,
and hot Summers pushed away by many a Fall,
years and years of laughters we had together…
where are those happy times that aren’t no more?
They say, “a chain is stronger as its weakest link”
man cannot survive if he’s left lone in a storm.

Look around at the empty spaces and wonder,
nobody has wiped clean the mirror on the wall,
you wouldn’t recognize yourself if you look,
dust to dust are getting heavier and blurring all,
accumulation of life’s souvenirs everywhere
that a finger could write on it, “it ‘s time to go.”

Close your eyes and let the dripping whispers
tell you that you will never ever be so alone,
that tears will be needed to wash the sorrows
that have poisoned the happiness of your soul,
let the butterfly lips delicately graze your face
and dream my friend, dream, go with the flow!

The whispering voice dripped on the silence
when I turned around she was there no more,
an illusion perhaps, even a romantic chimera
of a lover that wanted to be but that never was,
wrapped in silence can look back and no regret
the questions, “she loves me, she loves me not”

Ah!!! That darling butterfly's touch!:)) How she whispers so, so sweetly to soothe our inner pains. I feel her on my lips very, very regularly, Georg, and know that there is one who somewhere kisses away the crysallis shroud, breaks through and enters in. You are a master of linguistics and concept. Your work always sings to the soul and engages heart and mind. xx

Whether she loves or not, is not what matters. What really makes the "BUTTERFLY" live, is the nectar it extracted from the flowers of the heart's garden of the one who loved.

Standing ovation to this beauty. "Whispering voice" is a thirty petals (Verses) flower of five (Stanzas) colors.

In appreciation,

How does that old line go? "It is better to be loved and lost than to never have experienced love at all." This poem is romantic/double edged, just like real love. Hugs, J'nia

Slowly whispering into your heart, a soothing sound of healing energy comes your way to remain until your heart is tender once again.
This poem deserves a response to capture the essence of what you express here, Georg, this is softly romantic and very sad in nature.
Hope all is well in your world!
Much peace, love, and light,

George, the important thing you have experienced the magic of love which comes with sadness too...Not many people felt love in there hearts and souls, so embrace those beuatiful moments and dream and hope...the angels are talking through you...
It is a beautiful poem.

P.S. I thought only woman is sensitive to the whispers of man...
Looks like it goes both ways.
Thanks for sharing.

Longing, forever longing, haunted by the wait, but yet love all around, but you have not found, the "One". Your deepest soul is hurting, your spillover in ink, blotches of deep pain.

“Whispering voice” touches deeply my heart Georg...
Knowing the bounty of love’s existence as a beautiful presence throughout all time...an everlasting need like the very breadths we take...
we all can hear these tender moments...your verses reach me to feel the sorrows one can feel of needing love even in their silence...
the power of also being helpless to it...
