fame – recognition
mostly associated with wealth
famous – well known
unable to have a cup of coffee
in public
without intrusion
autographs and handshakes
give me the shakes
just thinking about it
I don’t think us regulars fully can grasp
this concept of fame
this stripping of privacy
I saw it recently
saw some stars
famous folks
of course I didn’t rush them
no not me
but I did hang out in the throng of googlers
for a moment
so that I could say
guess who I saw
they seemed ok with it
used to it
or are they
who knows
but after watching the spectacle
I think I’ll pass
no
fame is not for me
not that there are any offers in the wings
the wealth most commonly associated with
would be hard pressed to walk by
but
you can have the rest
I mean
what do you do on bad hair days

no thanks
I like being unnoticed
suits me just fine
