I’ve been putting crayon to paper
for that long
some of it was okay
most of it is trash
I hardly recognize that girl
I hardly recognize this girl
but I do know
that this habit
I have
this urge to write it all down
has saved this girl and that girl
from drowning in the muck
more than once
released the anger, angst, awful woe is me
unbound the joy, wonder, ain't it grand
feelings
ahh the feelings
the observations
the ideas of life as I see it as I wish it as I know it
so
from an old haggard soul
I say
have at it
put it all down
if nothing more than for the sigh or smile
28 years later
and I always tell my husband
dude you better save all these
someday
they’ll
make
you
rich…………
So glad that girl and this girl have met and are doing do well great advice from both of them...;-)
