all flights are canceled
all flights
no planes of any kind
anywhere
the skies are silent
only birds
and I weep
replays of faces
terror stricken running
bodies hurtling
they are alive as they fall
and the image forever in my mind
of the destruction
plumes of dust and debris
it goes on and on forever
and we look at each other and wonder
why
why this hate
why
must a child cry for a mommy that will never come home
a daddy who will never hold out his hand
why
must I fear for tomorrow
must I fear for my children
a nightmare of terror
and I weep

excellent question.. Why? Such a small word.. with so much behind it. I wonder if we will ever truly know.. or understand.. the why's.

Why? Oh dear! A tough question and may be we will never possibly know the answer. Hatred? Jealousy? Fear? I wonder. Only the Lord knows.
All we can do is pray for them that lost so much and for them that stood up against it and those that came out to help save as many lives as they could.
