commitments
my plate gets smaller every day
commitments
in a few minutes I have to run to the school
and copy 630 PTO newsletters
and separate and stick them in teachers boxes
and
I was supposed to do it yesterday
and I forgot
commitments
my plate gets smaller every day
commitments
Saturday there’s a gathering of friends
at My house, Christmas deal
the carpets need help
no presents are bought
and the food the food
commitments
my plate gets smaller ever day
commitments
checking homework, walking dogs
sitting at my desk, washing socks,
selling produce or not
smiling and looking pretty
my head is splitting
under
commitments
committed to this
committed to that
I
hate
the
word
commitments
could I get some Help here
do you think I could ever learn the
meaning
of the word
no
I cannot I will not commit
to
one
more
damn
thing
I’m committed out

now there’s a rant for ya
late
gotta run
I have a commitment

am i even spelling the stupid word right
late I'm always late
argh

I agree with Amor, I had several heart attacks because I never learned how to say no! You are on automatic pilot and think you can quit when you want to , but watch out it isn't that easy, the older you get. Do it now Josie!

you have to learn to stop listening to others and do as JOSIE wants, not what everyone else wants! you deserve to do as you wish once in a while! good rant; it will do a body good! love, your friend, karen lynn. ((((HUGS)))) :)

perfect rant...i agree with marilyn...you have the kindest heart around. and i love it...learn to say no (i need to take my own advice), and relax, keep writing, and don't let the stress get you down...(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)

Josefina...you sound a lot like the way I was a few years ago until I learned how to say "NO" once in a while to others. It is a hard thing to do, I know, simply because we are such caring and giving people...but it is the only way you can get a start on managing a little stress or you will pay for it sooner or later in the form of heart attacks, strokes and ulcers. You must have time for you...it is imperative that you take it easy and make that time soon. Otherwise everything you worked so hard for will go down the drain when health problems cost you more. Please do it.
