It’s Good to Know

It’s good to remember that when you’re down

When friends don’t seem to understand

That there is always one whom you could turn to

One whose peace surpasses understanding

One who will never let you down

For He promised “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”

It’s good to remember “that a merry heart doeth good like medicine

But a broken spirit drieth the bones” (Proverbs 17:22)

It’s good to remember “He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears” (Proverbs 26:17)

It’s good to remember that “Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise; and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding” (Proverbs 17:28)

It’s good to remember to “Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips” (Proverbs 27:2)

It’s good to remember that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Proverbs 1:7)

It’s good to know that meditating on the book of the law day and night brings prosperity and success (Joshua 1:8)

It’s good to know “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13)

It’s good to know that “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
