This thing called love...what it is, and what it isn't...! Share your thoughts...
This Thing Called Love By h. lena jones This thing called love Should hold no one hostage Nor should it be controlling It should accentuate the positives Not expose the negatives It should encourage and build up Not tear down and make worthless It should be unselfish not vindictive It should be a load-bearing beam In the building of life Not a noose to restrain or strangle! Large amounts of love applied daily Will diffuse disputes without offending Will discipline without shattering Will warm the heart without alcohol Will send shivers up and down the spine Regardless of the temperature Should stand the test of time! �If I speak in tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal�� (1 Corinthians 13:1-7) Because of love, He died for us!

Beautiful said. Love comes in so many ways with so many faces, but it surely never should hold one down. There is so much to love out there, people, nature, our wonderful animal friends, all we have to do to find love, is open our heart for it. Of course, not just the usual man-woman kind of love, the love between people, friends, which can mean so much in life, most if we love free enough to tolerate different opinions and outlooks on life.

Beautifully put. To quote the Apostle Pual from Romans chapter 13

8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Keep them coming. They are wonderful thoughts and written with elegance.
