Sheep

Sheep are timid, defenceless creatures

Easily influenced and led

Yet that’s what Jesus called us

For He said “My sheep hear My voice,

And I know them and they follow Me.

I am the door of the sheep

The good shepherd giveth His life

for the sheep.”

But He doesn’t stop with

The sheep that know Him

He extends His shepherd-hood

To include others as well

“And other sheep I have

which are not of this fold;

them also I must bring  

and they shall hear my voice;

and there shall be one fold

and one shepherd.”

You just gotta love this Man!

Come out, come out

From the dark

 You lost little sheep

Hear the voice of

The good shepherd, please,

 Don’t block your ears

Or dig in your heels

Come into the light

He loves you

No matter your plight

Timid, defenceless

It matters not to Him

He wants you back in the fold

Be proud to be a sheep

I know I am
