A kind act is like a booster shot

It revives the down-trodden

Uplifts their Spirit

Restores their

Trust and belief

In humanity!

A kind word can stir the proud

To question their selfish

State of mind!

A kind smile can soften the heart of a grouch

Leaving him wondering

If he had been touched

By an angel!

So be the first to act with kindness

Use self-control to starve the red hot embers

Of a brewing argument

Have a ready smile for a woeful face

Hold the door open for the one behind you

Re-shelf a fallen item in the grocery store

Return your shopping cart to its rightful place

Be the first to restore trust and belief

In humanity, but most of all

Do it as to the Lord!

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord,

and not unto men.”
