I’m oftentimes filled with awe

When God reveals answers through Scripture

To questions which weigh heavily on my mind

If you’re stuck, He’ll do the same for you

He will reveal a word, a verse

Or passage from Scripture

Meant especially for you!

How I wish I could express

My excitement more succinctly

Suffice it to say, my heart leaps

For joy each time I stumble on an answer!

Case in point:

I returned home from church last night

Pondering the creation of the world

For that was the lecture I had heard

Man has formulated at least 23 scenarios about creation

Five were discussed in the lecture

But my heart was heavy

What did it matter how

The world was formed

God did it and that was all that mattered to me!

I awoke at 4:30 this morning

With thoughts of the “water into wine” miracle

Okay, I wondered, what relevance is this to the creation question

As it was time for my quiet time with God

I jumped out of bed and grabbed my Bible

Flipping it open to a page at random

My eyes locked onto these words:

“As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit,

nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her

that is with child, even so thou knowest not

the works of God who maketh all.”

(Ecclesiastes 11:5)

Then I turned the page and behold

This is what I read:

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter;

Fear God and keep His commandments;

For this is the whole duty of man.”

(Ecclesiastes 12:13)

That did it for me

 Why try to figure out God and His creation

Just accept!

And so, I had to share this with

My beloved friends!

Sceptics might say, “You’re taking those verses out of context”

“Ah,” say I, “the Holy Spirit speaks to us through Scripture.”

“But God hath revealed them unto us by His spirit; for the spirit

searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God

(1 Corinthians 2:10)
