Still I feel me

Stealing the smile

From your soft lips

Remembering promises

Feeble words that hurt

Wind that blows

Early in the morning

So a coffee at the table

With tears of sorrow

Are held captive beneath

The sweetness of days

A ruptured pain

Lies in my heart

And still it listens

The loud screams

Of my soul in despair

And that’s not all

My feelings are locked

In an existence block

And I shed tears

For what I observed

A constant terrible mess

This teases me badly

That’s my life

And life is what?
