Re-incarnation

How love brings new vigor in a person's life.

Re-incarnation

I felt like a rose
that no sun or moon
or the garden hose
could bring to full bloom.

Then one daring man
by the heavens sent,
unafraid of thorns
stooped to smell my scent.

He held me hostage
With his gentle touch,
and with his keen stare
he searched my soul bare.

Petal by petal
he unveiled my core,
to bring to the fore
my long buried soul.

Nestled in his heart
where so much care grows
I’m sure I will start
to bloom like a rose.
