Today it is oh, so easy to get caught up in life and somehow lose ourselves in it. Sometimes, we owe it to ourselves to withdraw and enjoy God's love.

I See the Clouds and Wonder

I lay quietly upon the grass, my hands behind my head.

I gaze up at the beautiful sky as the sun sets and it turns red.

My eyes traverse from the sunset to the white clouds floating up above.

They are floating in the tranquility of the mist of the blue skies love.

I watch them as they lazily move slowly with the wind

And wonder if the day will come when the clouds come to an end.

My mind can pick out shapes and forms that remind me of many things

But most of all they look like clouds, like birds but with no wings.

They paint upon the bright blue sky and it occurs to me

That what they really and truly look like is the breath of God to me.

So, my friend I invite you to try this exercise.

Take some time and simply lay back and gaze upon the skies.

God lives there.  God lives here among you and also me

He is the sky, he is the mountains and he is the sea.

If you have not yet found him, search him out

Then you will truly know what life is all about.

Amen! Very beautifully written! It is chilling to think of losing the beauty of the world Creator gave us! But we are destroying it
ourselves, and when He comes again it will be for our benefit!
Excellent poem!

A beautiful poem dear brother Lew, laced with the loveliness and hopefulness that only the Holy SPirit can give.

I did not know you were so talented, you have a multi-hued imagination!

Ah Lew, this was great! I love looking at the ever-changing clouds and picking out shapes of bird, animals, angels, people, and sometimes ice-cream cones. This is so neat! Our world has so much more to offer, if we but take the time to look!

God Bless!

Marvelous. . . . . . .
Such beauty explained. . . . . .
By the beholder. . . . .
Exquisitely.
How anyone could deny God's magnificent.
His Creation shows they will be without excuse.

You stoke the passion to be as one with nature in this well-rounded poem. Yeah, been there a few times myself. Personally, I like to lie and stare up at a cloudless sky. It is strange, after a while you get a glimpse of how really insignificance you are in the grand scheme of things. The, of course, you realize that man is the only species that can think and reason, and THAT give you your insight, so you are not so insignificant after all. Paradoxical, huh?
