They say, "into everyones life a little rain must fall. The movies always show it raining with gray skies to denote a sad plot twist. Do you think those gray skies are getting a bumb deal? I do!

Gray Skies

The sky is gray this morning as clouds cover up the sun.

But, it is only morning; the sky may be bright before the day is done.

But as I survey the gray morning haze I allow myself to contemplate.

For the gray clouds remind us of dark times, something with which we all can associate.

I ask myself as I find my mind floating in the gray skies

Are they really and truly signs darkness, sadness and depression?

Or sent from to us to give a break from the hot suns’ almighty oppression?

Even now, as I watch the gray clouds that slowly dissipate.

It looks like we will see the sun today, although it did come late.

The sunshine makes the flowers grow but the same sun can also burn.

The very plants that depend on it from the mighty oak to the smallest fern

For you see too much sunshine can cause them to wither and die.

That is why our Master placed the clouds high up in the sky.

Everything here has its place and each adds to Gods’ creation.

The secret is, come rain or shine, all things in moderation.

So I know as I look upon the clouds which now slowly brake away

They bring the shade; they bring the rain, with which comes a brand new day.
