God’s Forgiveness

Our heavenly Fathers love for you and me will go a long, long way.

He guides us when we follow him and forgives us if we stray.

If we get lost on life’s long highway he’ll reach out to guide us back.

He wants us to know that his glorious love is something we do not lack.

Come to me, abide in me for I can give you rest.

I’ll love you and I’ll care for you for I know what is best.

These are the words he’ll call to us to bring us home once more

He works to bring us through this life leading us to heavens door.

But if we simply turn away and follow our own dark path

We run the risk that one sad day instead of love we’ll feel his wrath.

So do not tempt the Lord Thy God.  Do not turn from his love

The penalty for sin is death but the righteous shall be lifted above.

He’ll lift us past the sky and beyond the planets to a wonderful land of joy

Where there is no pain and there is no anger and nothing to annoy.

Call out to your Lord and God in Jesus’ holy name and then

You will be lifted up safely held in his strong arms again.
