I heeded you and made plowshares out of my sword

Why is it, dear Lord that you make me feel lost and alone?

Please, save me!

You are silent when I ask for your wonderful love

I need to know you have saved me.

The silence is looming from heaven above

Maybe I am not going at this right

I feel like a fool who is lost in the night

Suddenly I know why my anguish is so deep

Have you not saved me?

I am but one of your many lost sheep

Wait, I have learned something today

You are saving me!

Suddenly I know salvation cannot possibly be earned

You are saving me!

Salvation will come to me only after I’ve learned

That your love for me will always be

And though I cannot earn it, I can now plainly see

That you will save me!

When the final trumpet has sounded and you lift me up high

You will have saved me!

For Jesus taught he who endures until end

It is he who will cry out you have saved me!

So for the rest of my days I will go where you send
