If I could be

If I could be whatever I wanted to be

I believe I would be a King.

I could then make all the laws you see

For all men and women and they would be compelled to sing

Praises to me, the king, who rules their lives each day.

They would never dare to question me or fail to keep my orders.

They would know the penalty for not doing whatever I say.

Or

Maybe a King is not my style

I would be a movie star instead

I could act any part and after a while

I would be so well known my fame would last long after I was dead.

But

A movie star is only an actor, he does not really live

Accept in the minds of the audience, his fame is for them to give.

Perhaps

I would be an astronaut and travel past yonder stars.

I may soon see Jupiter, Saturn and maybe even Mars.

But

I bring myself down from the sky for the life I live is not bad.

If I could be whatever I wanted, I would keep the life I hold dear.

My wife calls me Honey, my kids call me Dad

My Grandkids call me Papa; this is music to my ears.

I love my wife, I love my kids and my grandkids are presents from God.

So

I will simply say a prayer today, asking nothing from my God in Heaven.

I will simply say thank you dear lord, you blessed me seven times seven.
