I Pray
I pray for those who do not know my Lord
For they have somehow gone astray.
Jesus Christ is the living word
He lives for us and through us as we live each day.
His life is great and his forgiveness never fails
That’s why I understand his love
His spirit moves me like wind on the sails
Of a ship that is guided by Gods son, the Dove.
Know his love and live it well
Know his peace that frees our minds
Know words of joy that make our hearts swell.
Let our hearts not be confused or blind.
Strong Shoulders to Comfort Us
Lord, your shoulders carry a heavy load.
You hear my prayers both good and bad.
Still you lead me down the narrow road
You cry with me when I am sad
I lift my eyes up high to you
For strength to see me through each day
You help me do the things I do
And teach me how I ought to pray.
So my prayers to you both old and new
are from the heart and full of love
Because Jesus Christ gives me faith and power
You help me over my weakest hour.

just a minute ago I began to read another poem,
one "not rated" 2 verses in, I realized what a
mistake I made & was disgusted with the author.
Then I read your precious poem and was reminded
anew to pray for that one who is lost. Thank you, Lew
I'm so glad you posted this wonderful poem today.
