Can You Hear Him?

His voice is gentle like the summer breeze.

He whispers in your ear.

He is telling you to learn to love

And care for those who you hold dear.

But even more he is calling from Heaven above

And guiding you to love everyone as he has so loved you.

If you persist in ignoring him the summer breeze will change to a howling wind.

God will get your attention, starting you down a path that’s new.

If his voice needs to become as a hurricane or the rushing sounds of waves

He will do so for if need be he will even let you know pain

If, indeed that is needed and if your soul it saves.

Don’t cry out Lord where have you gone or look to him with disdain.

But rather look within yourself and find where you have erred.

God will speak in gentle tongues or shout a mighty roar

To bring you back home to him and you’ll know it’s because he cared.

He cared enough to give to you whatever he needed to give.

So that today, tomorrow and eternity with him you will always live.

Listen, my friend, hear his voice calling for out for you

And never forget that he is with you where ever you are or what ever you do.
