Caution, They Are Breakable

Be careful how you treat them for they are breakable, indeed.

If left in tact they will assure you of a life that knows no sorrow.

Unfortunately, this is only a dream for we all break them in times of greed

We all get caught up in a desire to assure life’s comforts, today and tomorrow.

We break them when we do not take time to help one who is in need.

We have all fallen short of perfection and have not followed after the Master

We have all broken God’s law.  We have often strayed from his holy word.

If we break even one of the Ten Commandments we leave ourselves open to disaster.

However, our sins are all washed clean by the wondrous grace of the Lord

If we but admit they are there, he will calmly make them disappear.

Jesus made it easy for us when he summed the commandments up

Love the Lord with all thy heart and soul and all they mind and cherish his love so dear.

And love thy neighbor as thyself.  That means share with him from your cup.

We will try and we will fail but with God’s love his rebuke is waved.

Through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ you and I will be saved.
