Everyone, including myself felt a little uneasy as Ernesto moved toward the Florida coast. It turns out this was what we needed rather than what we feared. Goodbye drought!

The Big Storm

It came slowly out of the Caribbean Sea.

It seemed to grow in density.

Everyone was braced for the devastation it would bring.

Another hurricane has now taken wing.

Everyone on the coast was fearful of it’s mighty winds.

They tied down everything to protect from it’s winds.

But then the storm became more gentle as it moved on.

The might of the hurricane was never born.

As the storm reached land it simply brought much needed rain fall.

There was a collective sigh of relief which was shared by all.

Ernesto turned out to be a much needed gift

From God in Heaven, so join me and lift

Up your voices unto the Lord.

Indeed! God heard the cry of the parched land and sent Ernesto bravely forth. I'm glad you folks experienced some relief. The winter months are not far hence...let's hope no one then prays for summer's heat, otherwise God would really see what a fickle bunch we are...and that would be a worry! :)
As usual, Lew, you have penned a fine tribute to our Father.

God Bless

Glad you got the much needed relief you needed, Lew; we have been in a severe drought for at least six months (even longer), we get sporadic showers that bring temporary relief, and then it's back to hot and dry. A beautiful write of gratitude to the Creator who creates the storms we need.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

It could have been much worse--

Sometimes, what deems to be a disaster is actually a blessing in disguise. I'm so glad that it was. Thank you for the updates.

Wonderful write!
