Are You a Laborer?

Are you a True laborer of God above?

Would you give of yourself anything that you can?

Can you meet even strangers with a smile of love?

Would you befriend your neighbor, be it woman or man?

Would you give up some Earthly comforts to help the poor?

Would you pray for the forgiveness of one who has hurt you?

If you can honestly say yes to these it will not bring you to Heavens door

But it is a beginning these things you should not neglect to do

So do not hesitate to give of yourself and your love.

Do not look down upon your neighbor or the poor.

Pray for the forgiveness of others to God above.

And then add more to this list and as you build on them you find yourself at Heavens door.

When the door swings open you will be invited in

Not because you did the works but because you loved the Lord.

For each good work will wipe away a sin.

And when you are ready, you will hear the words.

I forgive and I also give unto you the gift of eternal life

I will cut Satan down with the power of my sword

And deliver you from all of life’s care and strife.
