This was inspired by two characters of my book, "Immaculate White Smoke." My book is a ghost story but it is more. It is love story but it is more. It is a story about the battle between good and evil but it is more. I hope you enjoy the poem.
Thank you and May God bless,
Lew

The Box in the Attic

There it sat, collecting dust on the attic floor.

It had been ignored by the living as a box, nothing more.

Andorra saw it as something of intrigue.

So she worked at the lock, not giving up to fatigue.

Andorra was a ghost who was trapped by the fury of Hell.

Satan’s power was a force that she could not dispel.

However, even though things seemed hopeless, she still dared to hope and pray.

So she worked on that lock all night and every day.

When the lock finally gave way and box lid opened wide

She saw the most beautiful white cloud of smoke coming from inside.

A Lady stood in the mist of the “Immaculate White Smoke” so pure.

Her hair was white and her voice was like music and with her was a joy so sweet.

Andorra was entranced by this vision of love.

It had to be someone sent by God up above.

Yet, Andorra had to ask, “Who are you?” she said in a whisper so faint.

The lady standing in the white cloud was so beautiful she must be a saint.

“I am here to help you,” said Harmony with a smile on her face.

“Is that your name?” breathed Andorra. How can you help for my sins you cannot erase.

“Your Heavenly father can do anything he will,” said the lady in white.

If he sees a great wrong he can surely make it right.

“So look up, my child the Master has sent me to help you justify your life.

And we will touch others to replace joy in the place of pain and strife.

However, even though things seemed hopeless, she still dared to hope and pray.

How often do we shrink back from daring to pray because of how we feel about ourselves?
Sounds like hope coming out of Pandorra's box. Your poem enables easy access to understanding this hope. Huh, I first glanced at God by staring into the bottom of a whisky glass. If He can find us behind the cliffs and in the deepest caves, He can surely find us anywhere.

God Bless

"Your Heavenly father can do anything he will.'...Exactly, Lew!

And we know, it is always His will, to deliver us from evil! But we also know, we must ask from - and comply with - our hearts.
That is why He gave us His Only BEGOTTEN Son...to follow HIM, is to deliver US from evil.

Thank you for another exciting peek into your novel, Lew, which is obviously God-honoring and successful!

Love&Blessings, Rhonda

This is a poem of Mercy, for God is Divine Mercy that snatches sinners from the evil one's grasp. Victor
